The Myth of the One Big Breakthrough

I was deep in my inbox, doing one of those chaotic catch-up sessions—hundreds of unread emails, folders half-organized, tabs everywhere.

And then I saw it.

One of those subject lines that practically yelled:

“This training will unlock your soul’s highest purpose.”

And I felt it—that visceral, full-body NO.

It was just a line. Probably dashed off without much thought. But for me? It landed like a punch.

Because I know exactly what it’s like to be in a moment that feels like an existential spiral—lost, disoriented, desperate for clarity. And then someone offers you a shortcut:

One insight.

One breakthrough.

One moment that will change everything.

I’ve been there. And what I needed wasn’t someone selling me “the moment.”

What I needed was to not feel like I was failing at being human.

Instead, I was told that clarity, healing, and purpose would arrive in a flash—that the right training, method, or message would be the key.
And when it didn’t happen the way it was promised?

I assumed I was the problem.

Maybe I wasn’t gifted enough.

Maybe I wasn’t aligned enough.

Maybe I just wasn’t enough.

That shame is sneaky. And heavy. And it sticks.

So when I read that subject line, it brought me back to that version of myself—the one looking for relief and instead finding shame.

Because I had been sold the myth of the one big breakthrough.

If you’ve ever been through that–or tempted by the siren song of the simplicity of a single unlocking moment– I want you to know:

You were never the problem.

The problem was the promise.

The truth is, growth—real, lasting, soul-deep growth—isn’t a single breakthrough.

It’s a process of unfolding.

A layered, evolving journey of remembering, reflecting, integrating, and choosing again.

The idea of one epic “unlocking” moment keeps people stuck. It makes them feel like if they didn’t “get it” the first time, they must not be ready or worthy.

But that’s not how transformation works.

Not in real life.

That’s why I’ve chosen to take a different approach.

One that centers your humanity and your soul.

One that honors the wisdom you already carry.

One that invites you into a collaborative process, not a top-down hierarchy.

We don’t bypass complexity. We walk with it.

We don’t chase perfect clarity. We build resilient trust.

We don’t wait to be unlocked. We choose—over and over again—to engage with purpose and presence.

Because grounded spirituality doesn’t float above your life.

It meets you exactly where you are.

And it reminds you: You’ve always been the key.

What’s Now / What’s Next

Right now, I’m having a lot of conversations about what it means to grow without trying to arrive.

To trust ourselves without needing a lightning bolt.

To choose depth over drama.

This is what I’ll be exploring more in the coming months—through tarot, purpose work, and grounded spirituality that actually works in real life.

If you’re here for that, stay tuned.
