Reimagining Success: Building a Life on Your Terms

You know that moment when the goals you’ve been chasing just… stop making sense? One day, you’re all in on climbing the ladder, hitting the milestones, chasing the shiny stuff—and the next, it’s like, Wait. What am I even doing this for? That’s the switch flip. And if you’re in your 40s, you know exactly what I’m talking about.

But here’s the thing: That switch flip? It’s not the end of the story—it’s where the story gets good.

I found myself chatting with friends about this exact thing at my favorite little coffee shop on the water earlier this month. We all run businesses and we were catching up on how things were going.

And at some point, the conversation drifted into this unexpected territory:
How everything seems to change when you hit your 40s.

It’s like an invisible switch flips.

All those goals that used to drive you? Suddenly, they just don’t hit the same.

Instead, you find yourself standing there, staring at the life you’ve built, wondering, Is this really it?

Spoiler: It’s not.

Every single one of us at that table had felt it. That craving for something deeper. And no, it wasn’t “more stuff.” (If anything, we were decluttering and letting go of things.)

We didn’t crack the code on why this happens, but we did uncover a few truths about the “switch flip”:

  • Life’s Reminder of Its Shortness: Something—death, divorce, illness—shakes you awake and reminds you that time is finite.
  • Growing Self-Awareness: You start to ask, Who am I, really? And is this who I want to be?
  • Burnout and the Wall: You hit the wall one too many times, and suddenly, “powering through” isn’t for you anymore.
  • Desire for Impact, Not Just More: You want to do work that matters—not just for the paycheck, but for something bigger.

It’s disorienting.

Like standing at a crossroads, staring down a dozen paths, wondering which one actually leads to the life you want to create.

And that’s not necessarily a bad thing.

What if the Switch Flip is just the beginning?

What if this disorientation is your World-to-Fool moment?

In tarot, the World card signals the end of one chapter. It may be the “wrap it up” moment, but it’s not the end of the story.

The Fool comes next—the leap into something new.

So when the switch flips, it’s not the end. It’s the invitation to get curious, let go of the stuff that doesn’t fit anymore, and take the leap into something bigger.

When you stop chasing and start stepping into this next chapter, here’s what becomes possible:

  • Clarity: No more agonizing over decisions. You’ll know exactly what aligns with who you are—and what doesn’t.
  • Authentic Leadership: Show up as the real you. Confident, grounded, and leading with ease.
  • Energy You Didn’t Know You Had: Burnout? No thank you. Hello, work and a life that actually lights you up.
  • Impact That Feels Damn Good: Create a ripple effect that makes you proud.
  • Your Life, Your Way: Forget chasing someone else’s definition of success. Build the life you want.

You’re not here to settle. You’re here to build something bigger, something meaningful.

Imagine feeling rock-solid in your decisions, knowing exactly where you’re headed, and creating a life that feels expansive, fulfilling, and unapologetically yours.

This is exactly the work I help my clients navigate—moving from the disorientation of “what now?” to the clarity of “what’s next.”

If that switch is flipping for you–and you’re ready to stop spinning your wheels and start stepping into your next chapter– let’s talk.

I’m offering a limited number of 1:1 coaching spots for people, starting in February, who are ready to take the leap. Together, we’ll figure out:

  • Where you are now.
  • What’s holding you back.
  • What it looks like to step into something more aligned, meaningful, and impactful.
